One more sleep until the Surrey New Writers Festival! Friday’s programming includes three fabulous workshops/discussions, a flash reading mob, and a drop-in Writing Surgery with Dr Paul Vlitos at the Appleseed Bookshop. Saturday follows with several exciting panels, a mixer, and the Veer Books spring titles launch. Check out the schedule on the Festival website, and be sure to come to the Festival Launch Party on Friday. It’s on the Surrey campus, at Wates House, in the Firs Room. Doors at 5.30pm, readings by Surrey faculty (David Ashford, Holly Luhning, Paul Vlitos) at 6.30pm, and the Festival Songwriters-in-Residence, the Unicorn Lazers, hit the stage around 8pm. Come have a glass of wine and toast the launch of the Festival!
