Journal Store (Closed Access) delivery service: introducing photocopying charges as from 19th November 2007

In accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, [SS.38 and SI 1989 No.1212], the Library is required to charge the reader the actual cost of photocopying an article from a periodical. During the introductory stage of the delivery service we have not been charging but now the service is fully established, we must comply with the legislation.

The costs will be the same as if you had photocopied the article yourself; a charge of 5 pence per page. You will be able to choose to have a photocopy produced by a member of the Library staff on your behalf or, if you prefer, the whole volume or part will be brought to the Library for you to either read the article or make your own photocopy of it.

Once an article has been photocopied for you, the charge will appear on your Library account.

It has also become necessary to change the timing of the collection service; it will now be done between 3.00 to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
