Customer Service Excellence Award for Student Support Services / Student Centre

We’re pleased to announce the award  of the quality standard below in July 2014, following work over the last six months towards the accreditation.


CSE            SSC

All Student Support Services / Student Centre teams have been awarded the CSE quality mark for the standard of services to students, they include:

-Directors Office (Strategy and operational delivery across team below)
-Student Services Centre – Student Information Desk (SID provide a one stop shop on support and administration related to University life)
-Student Life (Student satisfaction, success and retention)
-Student Money (Money information, advice and guidance pre and post entry in support of recruitment and retention)

-Residential Wardening (University discipline and welfare in residences)
-Student Finance Receivables (enabling arrangement / payments of monies due for accommodation, fees etc)
-International Student Support (Information advice and guidance on VISA issues for non-UK students in support of University compliance with UKBI and recruitment/retention)

Activities carried out by staff met the 57 criteria in the five main areas below:-

1 – Customer Insight
2 – The Culture of the Organisation
3 – Information and Access
4 – Delivery
5 – Timeliness and Quality of Service

The assessor commended several areas, highlighting examples of ‘best practice’ defined as,behaviours or practices which exceed the requirements of the standard and are viewed as exceptional or as an exemplar to others, either within the applicants own organisation or the wider public service arena”
