Umarım herkes iyidir ve sınavlarına çalışıyordur.

Öncelikle, uzun zamandır blog yazamadığım için sizden özür diliyorum…

Tezimi bitirmekle meşguldum ve sonunda salı günü teslim ettim!

Şimdi sizlerle hem karmaşık hislerimi paylasıp hem de sınavlara çalışmakla ilgili birkaç tavsiye vereceğim!

Surrey üniversitesindeki lisansımı bitirmek üzereyim. Sevinçliyim ama aynı anda üzgünüm. İkinci evim olarak gördüğüm yerden kaçaçağım için kalbim ne kadar kırılsada, hayatıma yeni bir sayfa açaçağım için çok da heyecanlıyım!

Tezimi teslim ettikten sonra ne yaptığımı tahmin edebiliyorsunuzdur.

Kendime yeni makyaj malzemeleri aldım Hayatımın en yorucu bir ayını geçirdikten sonra bunu hak ettiğimi düşünüyorum!

Bu tez yazma süreci çok stresli geçti. Fakat teslim edince, üç yılın sıkı calışması ve uykusuz gecelere değdiğini anladım. Biliyorum, sürekli ne kadar stresli geçtiğini anlatıyorum ama size söylemeliyim, bu stresin kattığı tecrübe bile çok güzel. Burda tanıştığım bütün teşvik edici insanlar ve onların verdiği motivasyon sayesinde buraya kadar geldiğimi düşünüyorum. Bunun sebebi de herkesin aynı durumda olması ve herkesin birbirini çok destekliyor olmasıdır.

Örneğin, kütüphaneye gideceğimiz zaman grup olarak gidiyoruz. Beraber olduğumuzda, hem çalışmak için gereken bir saat belirliyoruz hem de ara vermek için. Ara verdiğimizde genellikle kütüphanemizde bulunan ‘Simply Fresh’ adındaki markete iniyoruz. Orda her zamanki gibi kahve ve enerji verecek atıştırmalar alıyoruz. Biz bu rutine yorulana kadar devam ediyoruz.

Paskalya tatilinden sonra ara vermeler daha da güzelleşiyor. Ne yazıkki şu an halen Guildford’da yağmur yağıyor. Haftaya güneşli olacağını umuyorum! Böylece, çalışma aralarında buzlu kahvemizi alıp, okuldaki gölün çimli tarafında oturabileceğiz. Bana inanın, aşırı huzurlu bir yerdir. Gölün yanında oturup, kahvenizi içerken güneşin keyfini çıkarmaktan daha rahatlayıcı bir şey olabilirmi?

Şu an son iki teslim etmem gereken projelerim var ve ondan sonra Medya, Kültür ve Toplum bölümünden mezun olacağım!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well and studying hard for you final exams.

I apologise for not being able to write a blog for so long…

I’ve been very busy trying to finish my dissertation. I finally submitted it on Tuesday and now I am back to share my feelings and give some tips about studying!

My undergraduate journey here at Surrey is nearly coming to an end. I have a mixture of happy and sad feelings. Although it breaks my heart to be leaving what I consider as my second home, I am excited for the next chapter of my life!

You can guess what I did after submitting my dissertation.

Yes! Shopping!

I treated myself to new make-up products 😀 I think I deserved it after living one of the most tiring months in my life!

The dissertation process has been a stressful one. After submitting it, I felt as if the three years of hard work and sleepless nights have come to an end. I know it sounds daunting that I’m repeatedly saying how stressful university life is, but let me tell you, these experiences are also amazing. All the motivating and encouraging people that I have met here have eased my pain. It is because everyone is on the same boat and we help each other out.

When we come to the library for example, we come as a group. We give ourselves a certain amount of time to study and a certain amount of time for a break. When we go downstairs to the universities shop ‘Simply Fresh’, we would most probably buy coffee and energy snacks and repeat the process until we are exhausted.

The studying breaks are the best especially after Easter. Right now, unfortunately it is still raining here in Guildford. Hopefully next week we will have sun! This means we will get our ice-coffee and sit by the lake. Trust me, it is extremely peaceful. Just sitting by the lake, enjoying the sun, sipping your coffee.

Could there be anything more relaxing?

I now have two more essays to submit and then I will officially become a Media, Culture and Society graduate!
