Almost There!

Hello again!

I am officially just one test away from breaking free from finals 🙂 I have had 3/4 tests and have my last one on Friday morning. My brain is starting to get a bit tired from studying, but nothing I can’t handle. I am very pleased with myself that I studied during Christmas break. It relieved so much stress from me and allowed me to do the best on the tests that I thought would be the hardest. I have however already received an email from one of my next year’s modules telling us about preparations to do for the upcoming semester, but that is to be dealt with later 😉

I have finished my plans of the Wales trip that I will be going on over break and it is a big one! I will be driving from top to bottom and will visit two National Parks: Snowdonia National Park in the north and Brecon Beacons National Park in the south. The hostel that we are staying in is in the middle of Brecon Beacons National Park. I have found a great mix of beautiful mountains and hills, rivers, lakes, coasts, and towns to visit. Our final stop will be at a cat pub in Bristol called Bag o’ Nails! I visited a cat café in Seattle over the break, but now I am ready to try the UK version, a cat pub 🙂

The day after I am headed on a separate mini road-trip with one of my friends to see Bath. I have always wanted to properly see the city and reading week is the perfect time.

These are some of the places I want to see:

Royal Crescent

Roman Baths

The rest of the year I plan to finish out with a bang! I have loads of trips that I plan on going to including the sports teams tour to Croatia for a week over Spring break, a week in Portugal at the end of the year, and hopefully I will be able to go see a couple of my friends doing study abroad programs in Italy at the beginning of summer.

All these trips that I am planning seem like they may cost a lot of money when you think about it coming from America, but coming from England they are so cheap I ask myself why I am not going to see a new country every weekend! Croatia is the most expensive at around £300-400 all inclusive, Portugal is £250 all inclusive, and flying to Florence and Rome only costs about £40 and the train between the two is €30. These trips are very affordable if you get a part time job and it is well worth the money. After all if you come to Europe you might as well see it all while you can.

I have to get back to my studying now 🙂
