Library and Learning Services in partnership with the Students’ Union will be running a book giveaway during Black History Month 2022 to celebrate award winning black authors and their stories.
Members of the Afro-Caribbean Society at Surrey have chosen 3 book titles that they would like to encourage others at Surrey to read. We will be giving 5 copies of each title away during Black History Month. The book giveaway is a chance for us highlight award winning black authors and their stories, to promote equality, to inspire and encourage wider reading and new ways of thinking.
All entrants need to do is like an Instagram post with the book they want to win and tag one other Surrey student.
The winners will be asked for their University of Surrey number and details so we can contact you to arrange to give you the book. For a chance to win entrants need to follow @surreylib and tag a friend on the giveaway post to enter.
If you don’t win don’t worry all the titles are also available to borrow from the Library as part of the SurreyReads collection.
Eligibility and required information:
• One entry per tag per student and you must be a University of Surrey student.
• If you win we’ll ask you for your Surrey Student number (to verify you are a student) and we will contact you to arrange for you to receive the book.
• Winners will be chosen at random.
• We will contact the winners within a week, if we don’t receive a reply, then another winner will be chosen at random.
• We’ll also be in contact with the winners later to see how you are getting on with the book and whether you’d like to send in a review.
• Once you have finished with the book, please pass onto someone else so they can enjoy and learn to!
