The 2021 round of the British Academy/Leverhulme Small Grants has just been announced. Please see below for the details of FASS’ upcoming information workshop on the Small Grants.
About the BA/Leverhulme Small Grants
The BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants are available to support primary research in the humanities and social sciences. These awards, up to £10,000 in value and tenable for up to 24 months, are provided to cover the cost of the expenses arising from a defined research project.
The scheme is open to postdoctoral scholars (or equivalent) who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom. Applications require the approval of the applicant’s employing institution, but are not limited to those of any particular status (e.g. Lecturer, Professor etc). Application may be made by independent scholars (who should choose ‘independent scholar’ as the relevant choice from the list of organisations in Flexi-Grant). Co-applicants may be from anywhere in the world, but the Principal Applicant must be ordinarily resident in the UK.
FASS Research BA/Leverhulme Information Workshop
We will be holding an information workshop for Surrey academics interested in the British Academy/Leverhulme Small Grants on Zoom on Thursday 15 October 2020 from 11am-1pm. In addition to providing an overview of the award, application, and assessment, there will also be presentations from Research Application Services on the costing process, and from FASS BA small grant award holders.
While this workshop will be hosted by FASS, it is open to prospective applicants across the University. To register, please contact Jodie Weller, FASS Research Coordinator by Monday 12 October 2020.
Please find more information about the BA Small Grants and the application process here and please contact Dr Catherine Ulmer, FASS Research Facilitation Officer, if you have any additional questions.
