You are invited to join 23Things International! It’s a global collaboration created by the Researcher Development Programme, designed to introduce you to a range of research tools and profile-building opportunities. We’ll also put you into a ‘pod’ with other researchers from your field in the UK, USA, New Zealand and Australia, giving you exciting chances to network and collaborate.
23Things International is a 14-week self-guided course, meaning that you can take part whenever suits your schedule, but with a structure that helps you to keep at it. Each week we introduce you to 2 ‘Things’, ranging from infographics to public engagement, from web design to career strategy, from collaborative supervision tools to measuring research impact. The expected workload is 1-2 hrs per week, with 2 break weeks built in.
The programme is open to all doctoral researchers and academic staff at Surrey, as well as colleagues at University of Cambridge, University of Florida, University of Otago, Auckland University of Technology, Avondale University College, and partner institutions in Techne and SeNSS doctoral training partnerships.
Previous participants have reported that the course gave them the opportunity to experiment with digital tools that are out there (but we never otherwise find the time to look at), that it built their confidence in communicating with different audiences, and that the international networks were a great way to share research and experience.
Registration is now open. Please follow this link.
The course will start Monday 8th March.
