As a part of “Calling Campaign” we spoke to few Post graduates students who had been offered a place in Surrey. It was really nice talking to you and those who dint receive a call don’t panic, you will hear from us in upcoming days. Many of you had queries regarding applying for University accommodation. That’s why I’m writing to you to help you in knowing more about accommodation. It’s good to know that International Students are guaranteed an accommodation through their degree. University of Surrey offers budget rooms to luxury rooms, which are called as Band A- Band E. I would recommend you to stay on campus because university rooms are really worth for the money. Band A room is £67/week, which is quite cheap here in UK. It also good to stay on university accommodation because you will be in and around your friends and as an Indian student you might find it difficult to live off campus and commute to the university every day. You will have to apply for the accommodation before August 1st to be guaranteed a place. If you apply after the deadline you will be served on “First come first serve basis”. So I recommend you to apply for it ASAP. Apparently, you will get a reply on your accommodation in the month of August.
