The Law book collection held on 2nd Floor East is currently being re-numbered. This will also affect the Law books in the Short Loan collection.

For a number of years a mixture of different types of classification number have been used, which has made the collection very confusing to navigate.

Now, each book in the collection (over 9,000 titles in all) will be re-numbered within the same classification system, which we hope will make things easier. This is a big job, and it will take much of the vacation to achieve.

Some books will be off the shelves whilst they are being re-classified. However, we hope that this will be kept to a minimum. Other books will be kept on different shelves on 2nd Floor East after they have been re-numbered and before they are re-shelved properly back in the Law collection. Please see the notices around the collection for directions.

Staff at the Information Desk will be happy to help you find the books that you need, so please do not hesitate to speak to them if you are having difficulty.
