Library becomes World Tourism Organization Depository Library

The University Library is proud to be one of the World Tourism Organization’s network of Depository Libraries. From November 2004, we have been receiving a print copy of all English-language publications from the WTO to add to our existing collection. These are now available for consultation by students on the University of Surrey’s top-rated Tourism courses, and also the general public. The Library is also happy to be able to make the WTO eLibrary available to UniS staff and students. This gives access to over 400 electronic books.

On Friday 4th June, David Airey, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) and Professor of Tourism Management, and John Tribe, Professor of Tourism, were on hand with Ruth Mitchell, Academic Liaison Librarian for the School of Management, to witness the arrival of a handsome gold plaque, which signifies our status as a WTO Depository Library.
