In mid-December (prior to the Christmas break) Edina will be withdrawing three legacy applications from Digimap’s Ordnance Survey Collection:
- Postcode Query
- Gazetteer Query
- Gazetteer Plus.
The functions and data that these applications offer are available elsewhere within either Roam or Data Download. Postcode and gazetteer data can both be downloaded from the Data Download application. The whole 1:50,000 scale gazetteer file will load into common spreadsheet applications such as Excel to enable straightforward filtering on various fields. A search in Roam for both a postcode and a place name will generate a map of the selected location and, in the case of a place name search, a set of results matching the search request.
