Have you got what it takes to be our next Student Curator?

Would you like to be part of the Library and Students’ Union work on celebrating and embracing the diversity of our student population, to encourage inclusivity and belonging at Surrey, to raise awareness on a theme close to your heart and be able to add to the Library collection with books you want to read and experience?

We’re looking for our next individual or a small group of students who can put together a ‘virtual curation’ in March 2021 around the theme of ‘Life as I know it’ – that will educate, inspire and highlight discoveries from the Library.

You may want to break down barriers on cultural awareness, represent or be an ally for a minority voice, showcase your culture from a perspective unique to you, or even shine a spotlight on lived experiences as a as student, to enable others to consider things such as disability, gender, race, culture, sexual orientation or age.

Let us know your ideas and submit your 150-200 word proposal on why you’d like to be involved, what the theme means to you, and how you hope to bring this to life with a social media campaign here: http://ow.ly/zBIp50Dwvqg

The deadline for submissions is Monday 22 February.

We can’t wait to hear from you!
