The Library Welcome Desk will be staffed Monday 25th, Tuesday, 26th and Wednesday 27th March from 8am-6pm and the same hours on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th April and Monday – Friday 8th -12th April. Outside of these times our friendly security team will be able to assist you.
We are expecting some disruptions to water supplies due to emergency maintenance in the building over the Spring vacation:
Friday 29th March: The Library toilets and water dispensers in the Green stairwell will not be available between 07:00-17:00. Bottled water will be available at the Library Welcome Desk and at Senate House.
Wednesday 3rd April: The Library toilets in the Orange stairwell will not be available between 07:00-midday.
All Library book loans will continue to renew automatically every seven days. No book loans will be recalled over the closure period from Thursday 28th March – Wednesday 3rd April inclusive. You can still place requests for Click and Collect and Click and Post but all home delivery requests will be sent after the closure period and Click and Collect requests will only be processed outside the closure days.
Please remember to collect or return your Interlibrary loans before 6pm on Wednesday 27th March. You will be unable to collect or return again until 8am on Thursday 4th April. No new requests will be processed over the University closure period.
Library Customer Services staff will be providing remote support over the University closure days so please do email us at library@surrey.ac.uk and we will respond as soon as possible.
Academic Skills and Development and Maths and Statistics will be running their appointments across the spring vacation (excluding the University closure days). For research students the Library Research Hub is available providing help and support on reference management, systematic reviews and finding and discovering library resources and more.
We will continue to provide snacks in the Library after sunset each evening during Ramadan.
