Easter holiday during the quarantine

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog, today I would like to share recommendations on what you can do whilst staying at home. Remember that now we have plenty of time to develop new skills, find our passion and treat ourselves. Because despite the negative aspects of what we are facing right now we have to focus on the positive and cherish every moment that we have with our loved ones. Before I start, I hope that everyone is staying healthy and safe during this unpredictable time.

Learning new skills

Whether it is learning a new language, exploring your cooking skills or working out from home. Now you have all the time in the world to pursue your passion and develop new skills. Always wanted to learn a new language? – great, learn it online via multiple apps and websites; didn’t have the time to cook healthy meals?- now you have plenty of time to explore new recipes and try something new. Learn to code or develop your own website, become a home workout expert! Do something that you wanted to do but didn’t have the time or energy for it. Maybe you will like it? You don’t have to waste your time watching Netflix, do something that will bring you joy and inspire you.

Find the time to treat yourself

Take a time to treat yourself, cook a comforting meal, get your favourite beverage, watch your favourite TV-show or a movie or simply read a book. May I suggest an idea for a perfect night in? here are some ideas that might inspire you:

  • spa at home– create a spa-like atmosphere in your room, light some scented candles, play relaxing music, put a face mask on, stretch and enjoy your time. Appreciate yourself and your surroundings, do some breathing exercises to heal your mind and soul.
  • at home restaurant – surprise yourself and your loved ones with your cooking, try new recipes, take your time to enjoy your food.
  • Read a book – as simple as that! Read something that you like, let that book take your mind off of things. Don’t rush yourself, enjoy what you are reading. Reading a book doesn’t have to be boring, put on your favourite pyjamas, get a snack and light a candle.
  • call your loved ones – wherever you are in the world right now, call your loved ones, make that video call last.

Enjoy the beautiful nature blooming season

Go outside, have a walk in the garden or a park nearby! It is a blooming season here in the UK, take your camera with you and take pictures, enjoy every moment with nature. Spending some time with nature can improve your wellbeing and lift up your mood. Take a picture of blooming cherry trees, magnolia trees and daffodils.
