สวัสดีค่ะทุกๆคน ชื่อนาตาลีนะคะ เป็นลูกครึ่งไทย-อังกฤษ ตอนนี้เรียนการบริหารโรงแรมอยู่ปีที่2แล้วค่ะเพิ่งได้รับเลือกเป็น International Student Ambassador ของมหาลัยในปีนี้นะคะ จะมาโพสต์และแชร์ให้ทุกคนได้รู้ถึงการเป็นนักเรียนไทยในมหาวิทยาลัยSurreyและการใช้ชีวิตในอังกฤษค่ะ ในโพสต์แรกจะมาอธิบายคร่าวๆเกี่ยวกับตัวเราเองนะคะ

เราเลือกการโรงแรมเพราะว่าเราชอบการพบเจอพูดคุยกับคนใหม่ๆ และมหาลัยSurreyเป็นมหาลัยอันดับ1ของด้านนี้ในประเทศอังกฤษอยู่แล้วด้วยค่ะ เราได้เรียนรู้และทำกิจกรรมมากมาย

และตอนนี้เราก็เป็นตัวแทนของคณะด้วยนะคะ และเข้าร่วมชมรมเต้น สนุกมากๆเลยค่ะ มีอะไรหลายๆอย่างให้ทำในมหาลัย

เรามาเรียนที่อังกฤษตั้งแต่ปีที่แล้วนะคะ ช่วงนั้นก็มีสถานการณ์โควิด-19 แต่สำหรับเรายังมีประสบการณ์ที่ดีและได้เจอเพื่อนเยอะแยะมากมาย แต่สิ่งที่เป็นปัญหาสำหรับเราก็คือการย้ายจากประเทศหนึ่งไปอีกประเทศหนึ่ง ซึ่งในหลายๆครั้งก็รู้สึกโฮมซิกหรือคิดถึงบ้าน ทางมหาวิทยาลัยเราก็จะมีกลุ่มคนไทย(Thai Society) ซึ่งก็จะเป็นการรวมกลุ่มของนักเรียนไทยมาพูดคุยทำกิจกรรมร่วมกันค่ะ

ในส่วนของตัวมหาลัยจะอยู่ใกล้ทาวน์กิวฟอร์ดนะคะ ซึ่งก็เป็นเมืองเล็กๆแต่ก็มีที่ ช็อปปิ้งและร้านอาหารไทยหลายที่เลยค่ะ

English translation 

Hi everyone! My name is Natalie. I am a second-year student studying international hospitality management and have been newly appointed as an international student ambassador. I hope I can share my experience with you all as a Thai student studying in Surrey and the UK in general. 

This will be my first blog of the year; in this blog I would like to introduce myself and a little journey of coming to Surrey. 

I have always been interested in Hospitality because I love interacting with people. And I believe that the hospitality management course and the industry can provide exciting opportunities well suited to my abilities and aspirations. As Surrey is also the number 1 hospitality school in the UK!

Currently, I am also a course representative for my course. I have participated in some of the many clubs and societies this University offers, like the dance society.

I came to the University of Surrey in 2021 amid the Covid-19 situation. I had a wonderful experience and made lots of lovely friends. Still, it is very tough every time leaving home. It is always important to keep in touch with my family, but also, we have a Thai society where we sometimes do gatherings and activities together!

The campus is located near a town called Guildford. Which it also has many nice Thai restaurants that I often visit when I feel homesick.
