Alessandro Torrielli awarded major grant by EPSRC and Science Foundation Ireland

Alessandro Torrielli is the principal investigator on a major grant awarded by EPSRC and SFI as part of a UK-Ireland programme (link here).  The grant links Surrey with Trinity College Dublin. The title of the proposal is “Solving spins and strings” and the co-investigator is Marius de Leeuw (holder of a Royal Society Fellowship at Trinity College).  The total value to Surrey is £487,604 (with a commensurate amount from SFI to Trinity College).  It includes money for a postdoc, travel, and 20% time for the PI. The project starts in September 2019 and runs for 3 years.
