Virginia Waters

Hi everyone!

I would like to share this cute little spot about 30 minutes away from the University.

When the semester gets busy, sometimes it is best to get away from it all – just for a bit- to unwind. The spot is Virginia Waters, a place in Guildford with a Waterfall, lake and as you can guess a beautiful and serene atmosphere.

Here are some pictures…

My friends and I picked the one sunny weekend for the trip. Indeed, it was sunny, unfortunately though, the sun was not accompanied by its warmth. Nonetheless, a bright day was enough to keep us excited. For the trip, my friends and I bought some snacks and meal-deals from Tesco to prepare for a picnic. We left at twelve o’clock and made it there at a quarter to one. We had stopped by a Starbucks motorway to catch some breakfast so the time did not really reflect its distance away.

Once we arrived, we turned right and took pictures along the lake enjoying the sun and view. We found ourselves at a beautiful replica of a Totem Pole. It stood at what looked like nearly 10 metres tall (…please do not quote me). On this day, it seemed everyone else had also decided to visit the park; we had seen almost 50 dogs and maybe 20 children on bikes.

To see the waterfall, when you arrive, turn left. The man-made waterfall is about a 10 minute walk from the car-park. Here is a picture

I highly recommend this spot. I hope you find it as interesting as I did.

That’s all for now folks,

Best,

Anne
