Hi everyone!
Back on the lockdown series…
Lockdown restrictions in the UK are gradually being lifted with many businesses and services resuming their operations this month. At the University of Surrey, the library reopened on Tuesday and is providing access to study spaces, academic skills advice, and printed collections.
Last weekend, my friends and I decided to take a short day trip to Bristol, the bustling city in the southwest of England known as a cultural hub and famous for its street art. During the trip, we tried to observe social distancing whilst still making the trip worthwhile. One of the best things about studying in the UK is how easy it is to travel and discover new cities. Most cities are very accommodating to students with various fun activities and student discounts available in each place.
Our itinerary included touring the famed Banksy street art, as well as a picnic by the Clifton observatory. Bristol is generally very hilly; I would highly recommend carrying some water and wearing some comfortable shoes if you are interested in taking a trip there as well. Here are some of the pictures I took during the trip:
Hoping and praying that everyone remains safe during this time.
That’s all for now folks,
Best,
Anne
