New Graduate Visa (post study work visa)
Normally students would only be eligible to apply for the Graduate Route where they have been studying in person for the duration of their course. However, the current concessions allow for any student who is completing their studies in 2020/21 to meet this requirement if they are able to arrive in the UK by 21st June 2021 (extended from 6th April 2021).
If you are an international researcher due to submit your final thesis before September 2021 and residing abroad, and intend to apply for the New Graduate Visa you are advised to contact internationalsupport@surrey.acuk
International Support, who understand it may not be possible in all cases to return by the above date, will advise you further on your options and consider exactly when you would need to return and how you might best apply for the new Graduate Route.
