All PGRs who are traveling for the purposes of their research are required to use the University’s dedicated travel management company, Clarity Business Travel, when booking travel requirements. By using Clarity Business Travel, and adhering to the University travel policy, you will covered by the University’s Business Travel Insurance Policy, other than in exceptional circumstances which will be handled on a case by case basis (e.g. travel to a restricted country as outlined by the Foreign Office).
It will also allow the University to meet its Duty of Care requirements to the Traveller and will help to measure its carbon footprint levels for reporting purposes. Bookings for all flights (domestic or international), accommodation (domestic or international), overseas rail travel, overseas car hire and overseas taxis etc. must be made using the TMC’s online booking tool, or by contacting the booking team via phone or email.
