It’s important to know the Ethics and Governance processes at the University of Surrey

This training session will introduce Ethics and Governance processes at the University of Surrey, aimed at those studying for a PhD. It will be hosted by Kevin Wells, Chair of the University Ethics Committee. We will describe some of the underpinning ethical principles and key legislation, how to use our on-line tools to determine if your next piece of work requires an ethics and governance review, and if so, what documents will be needed, and what common pitfalls occur to those new to the Surrey system. There will also be time for questions and answers.

Once you have completed this induction session, or are further along in your studies, you may be interested in attending the following workshops which are also available on the SITS platform.

– RIGO workshop
