Policy Masterclasses for PGRs and ECRs

The Doctoral College is delighted to announce that the Open Innovation Team, a group of experienced civil servants and government officials, will be coming to Surrey to deliver policy masterclasses aimed at PGRs and ECRs.

The first of these will take place in-person in the Researcher Development Training Room (09LB05), on the fifth floor of the library, on 14 March 10am-3pm.

The session will help you better understand how UK policy works in theory and practice and what tactics you can use the share evidence and research with decision-makers.

Topics covered will include:

Understanding the Government Machine

Concepts to help you think about your impact strategy

How to engange policy makers

Writing for a policy audience

Building your network
