As you might know, Guildford School of Acting does 3 seasons of shows every academic year. As we finish off teaching block 1, let’s look back at some of the productions that took place this season.
BA Musical Theatre students
“Once Upon a Mattress” was performed by BA Musical Theatre final year students from Wednesday 8th November to Saturday 11th November.
“Soho Cinders” was performed by BA Musical Theatre final year students from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th November.
BA Acting students
“She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen was performed by BA Acting final year students from Thursday 9th November to Saturday 11th November.
“Barbecue” by Robert O’Hara was performed by BA Acting final year students from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th November.
“Journey’s End” by R.C.Sheriff was performed by BA Acting final year students from Thursday 23rd to Saturday 25th November.
BA Actor-Musician students
“We Happy Few” by Imogen Stubbs was performed by BA Actor-Musician final year students from Wednesday 6 December to Saturday 9 December.
MFA Acting and MFA Musical Theatre students
“Beasts and Beauties”, adapted by Carol Ann Duffy, dramatised by Melly Still and Tim Supple was performed by MFA Acting and MFA Musical Theatre students from Thursday 7th December to Saturday 9th December.
These great shows are only successful with the support of BA Theatre Production students and MA Stage Management students.
One of my personal favourites is “Beasts and Beauties” due to the eye-catching set and its unique style of storytelling. After watching all these performances, I’m certainly looking forward to the next season and see what’s on offer!
