Student Discounts

There are thankfully many brands offering student discounts in the UK. The first company you would use student offering is for your flights. To use the offer, you need to search on the company’s website or call the company to ask about eligibility for that. This was very helpful for me as international students usually take as many things as they can to the destination. Another way is to use student discount apps such as UNiDAYS and Student Beans. Such apps provide discounts for various stores, so even when you go to a pharmacy, you can find a store that offers student discounts on the apps.

Budgeting / Recording Expenses

Knowing how much you spend on products or services is also a great way to control your expenses. This is because you can understand where you can spend more or where you can effectively stop spending. If you are new to recording expenses, there are tutorials on YouTube that can help you get started.

Free Opportunities at School

Free food and opportunities are offered for students to alleviate the economic impact in the UK. Regarding food, there is some free food available every day somewhere on campus. For example, on Wednesdays, a place called Hive on campus provides us with free fruits such as bananas, apples, and oranges for students to recharge their energy mid-week. In terms of free opportunities for savings, the University of Surrey holds budgeting workshops for students to learn how to do it. At the University of Surrey, you can benefit from such opportunities if you look for them.
