Thousands more journal issues available online through Oxford Journals Archive and PsycARTICLES

The Oxford Journals Online Archive has recently been made freely available to staff and students of all UK universities (Athens login required). The archive of Oxford University Press journals includes issues from nearly 140 journals, going back to Issue 1, Volume 1. The earliest issue dates back to 1849, and the most recent issues in the archive are from the end of 1995. The archive includes over 3 million articles. The titles can be found on the library’s E-Journals A-Z list, and also on the Oxford University Press website.In addition, the American Psychological Association (APA) has recently completed a project to digitize the back copies of its published journals. These are now included in the library’s subscrition to the PsycARTICLES database. The backfiles also go back to Issue 1, Volume 1 in most cases, with the earliest issue being from 1894. PsycARTICLES now contains over 116,000 articles in the field of Psychology. The titles can be found on the library’s E-Journals A-Z list, and also on the APA’s website.
