David Lloyd is attending an IMA Special Workshop: Joint US-Japan Conference for Young Researchers on Interactions among Localized Patterns in Dissipative Systems, held during 3-7 June at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications, University of Minnesota. At the conference David gave a talk on “Nucleation of localised ferro-patterns” on Monday, and presented a poster on “Localised crime hotspots and police deterrence” at the poster session on Tuesday.
