The 2-day conference “Mathematical modelling of the DNA damage response” takes place today and tomorrow (26-27 June) at the University of Surrey, organised by Philip Aston in collaboration with Lisiane Meira (Department of Biochemistry and Physiology) and Ruan Elliott (Department of Nutrition and Metabolism). The conference is sponsored by the Surrey Institute for Advanced Studies, MILES and EPSRC. The venue is 32 MS 01 in the School of Management. The conference brings together researchers from Brazil, France, Sweden, USA, and the UK to focus on the importance of quantitatively understanding the dynamics of the cellular responses to DNA damage. In particular, the complex biological responses to this damage and the current mathematical and computational modelling approaches used to understand and explain this complexity. The website for the conference is here.
