Andrea Fontanella started his PhD project this month with the Fields, Strings and Geometry group, supervised by Jan Gutowski. The project title is “Geometry of supersymmetric solutions“.   Andrea was an undergraduate at the Universita degli studi de Padova, which is in the northeast corner of Italy. During his undergraduate work he was an ERASMUS student at Imperial College London, and he also obtained a diploma from music conservatory specialising in the trumpet.
