The London Mathematical Society (LMS) is marking its 150th anniversary in 2015. To commemorate this historic occasion, the Society is launching a year-long programme of events aimed at celebrating the contributions of mathematics to the UK, looking back over 150 years of achievements and looking forward to exciting opportunities in mathematics for future generations.  The launch event takes place on Friday 16th January at Goldsmiths Hall (shown left).  A team from Surrey will be attending including Carina Dunlop, Rebecca Hoyle, and Matt Turner.  Carina and Matt are presenting their SET for Britain posters at the reception, and Rebecca is attending in her role as a member of the LMS Council.  The link to the LMS 150 page is here.
