Tom Bridges is attending a week long meeting on the “Mathematical Theory of Water Waves” at the Mathematics Research Institute at Oberwolfach” located in the hills of the black forest in southern Germany, during 12-18 April.  At the conference he is giving a talk on “Phase dynamics in the theory of water waves”.
