As part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the London Mathematical Society, a series of “stories of the impact of mathematics” has been commissioned.  The first of these, “The impact of mathematics on meteorology and weather prediction“, written by Ian Roulstone, has been published today on the London Mathematical Society website.  A link to Ian’s article in .pdf format is here and a link the the LMS Impact150 website is here.
