Daniel Ratliff is in Loughborough this week (21-25 March) for the London Mathematical Society 2016 Invited Lectures given by Edgar Knobloch (Berkeley). A link to the event is here. The series of 10 lectures is on the topics of dynamics, patterns and spatially localised structures. Daniel was invited to give a contributed lecture on the Tuesday afternoon on “The degeneracy of the phase diffusion equation and the emergence of nonlinear dynamics“.
