Cesare Tronci has been awarded a Fellowship by the Alexander von Humbolt Foundation in Germany. The Fellowship pays a salary and expenses for a 10 month visit to the Max Planck Institut für Plasmaphysik. Cesare is planning to start the Fellowship on 1 January 2019. The institute is in Garching, near Munich, and his host at the institute is Professor Dr Eric Sonnendrücker. During the fellowship Cesare will be developing the theory of geometric mechanics and its applications to plasma physics and quantum chemistry.
