This year the university held the first joint Festival of Research between the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences (FEPS) and the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FHMS). It was held on Wednesday 20 June and the theme was “Innovation and Health“. Anne Skeldon was an invited speaker and talked about cross-collaboration between mathematics in FEPS and the Surrey Sleep Research Centre in FHMS. The title of her talk was “How work schedules and our light environment impact sleep: a mathematical modelling approach“.
