Professor Alex Mahalov, Dean’s Distinguished Professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Arizona State University, is visiting the Department for two weeks, arriving Sunday 9 December. His host for the visit is Bin Cheng. and they are working together on multi-scale problems in atmospheric dynamics. On Wednesday 12 December Alex gave a talk in the joint FMS-DSPDEs Seminar on “Stochastic Three-Dimensional Navier-Stokes Equations and Waves: Averaging, Convergence, Regularity and Nonlinear Dynamics“.
