Congratulations to Rebecca Atkinson for passing her PhD confirmation examination today (Wednesday 6 February)!  The examiners were Alex Hagen-Zanker  (Civil and Environmental Engineering, Surrey) and  Naratip Santitissadeekorn. The title of Rebecca’s project is “Localisation and Optimal Mitigation of Sampling Error in Ensemble Data Assimilation” and the project is supervised by Sue Hughes (Civil and Environmental Engineering, Surrey), Jonathan Flowerdew (UK Met Office), and Ian Roulstone.
