The paper “A geometric diffuse-interface method for droplet spreading“, co-authored by Darryl Holm (Imperial College), Lennon Ó Náraigh (University College Dublin) and Cesare Tronci, has been published in the Proceedings A of the Royal Society of London. The paper exploits the theory of geometric gradient flows to introduce an alternative regularization of the thin-film equation valid in the case of large-scale droplet spreading.
