Anne Skeldon visited the University of Bristol last Friday (6th January) and gave a talk in the Neural Dynamics Forum, which forms part of a Wellcome Trust funded PhD programme (link here). The talk was titled “Sleep regulation: physiological mechanisms and the design of light interventions for improved sleep”. While there, Anne caught up with researchers in Bristol studying circadian rhythms, and Mike Jeffrey from Mathematics, to discuss his work on nonsmooth systems – of which sleep-circadian modelling is an example.
