David Lloyd gives a seminar in mathematics at the University of Manchester

Dave Lloyd visited the School of Mathematics at the University of Manchester yesterday (Thursday 30 May) to give a talk in the Applied Mathematics Seminar. The title of his talk was “Snakes on the plane: Developing a Theory for Multidimensional Localised Patterns“. In the talk, Dave covered recent developments in the theory of Turing patterns, rings and hexagons and their connecting orbits (e.g. Nonlinearity paper here). The photo below shows Dave outside the main train station in Manchester.
