The Interface Group has invited two visitors, with host Alessandro Torrielli. The first is Dr Dibakar Roychowdhury (IIT Roorkee). He is visiting during 8-21 June to work with Alessandro, Vasileios Moustakis and Daniele Bielli (currently in Bangkok, joining remotely) on boundary Bethe ansatz in AdS3-inspired integrable systems. Dibakar’s visit is sponsored by a Royal Society follow on grant.
The second visitor is Dr Nur Alhüda Alhayek, sponsored by Cara, a non-governmental organisation that supports displaced academics and academics at risk: Nur is part of the Syria programme. As part of the support Surrey offers for participants in the Syria Programme is a Research Incubation Visit – typically a Syrian academic works alongside a Surrey academic for one month, potentially over the summer. Nur will be visiting here during 15-16 June, and Nur and Ale will explore common research interests in quantum groups, Hopf algebras and Lie superalgebras. The photo below shows the visitors along with some members of the Interface Group out for dinner.
