Tom Bridges visited the Courant Institute today (Wednesday 5 March) for research interaction. His host for the visit was Yuri Latushkin, and they worked on various research problems involving the Maslov index, Fredholm operators, and the stability of solitary waves. The institute is name after Richard Courant and the photo below shows Tom and Yuri posing with a statue of him.
