Werner Bauer attended the “Use case Hackathon“, Monday to Wednesday, 12-14 May 2025, held at Dartington Hall, in Totnes, Devon. It was organised by CCP-DCM, a “Collaborative Computational Community” centred around the FEniCS and Firedrake finite element systems. FEniCS and Firedrake are world-leading software frameworks for the numerical solution of partial differential equations (PDEs). As part of the programme, Werner co-produced a demonstration package on how to use Firedrake to implement the one-dimensional Vlasov-Poisson equation (link to a report on the demo here).
