Imran Nasim (IBM, Surrey) attended the 2025 “International Conference on Scientific Computing and Machine Learning”, held in Kyoto, Japan, March 3-7 (conference website here). Imran presented a poster on “Towards a Diffusion-Based Virtual Subject Generator“, with co-author Adam Nasim (Merck, Surrey), and a poster on “Fine-Tuning MLP-Mixer Architectures For Extreme Weather Event Prediction“, with co-author João Lucas de Sousa Almeida (IBM). Both Imran and Adam are Visiting Lecturers in Mathematics at Surrey. The photo below shows Kyoto at night.
