Biber, Joshi, Kamaraj, and Skeldon give presentations at the UK Mathematical Biology conference in Birmingham

Stanislaw Biber, Esha Joshi, Aravind Kumar Kamaraj, and Anne Skeldon were in Birmingham this week (4-5 September) to attend and speak at the 1st UK Mathematical Biology Conference. Anne was one of the opening speakers, presenting an invited talk on “Mathematical modelling of sleep for healthy human function in the 21st century”. Stanislaw and Aravind gave contributed talks on “Deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s Disease: Insights from mathematical understanding of entrainment” and “A comparison of brain functional connectivity in people living with mild Alzheimer’s Disease and healthy controls across wake and sleep“, respectively. Esha Joshi, a PhD student co-supervised by Anne Skeldon and Carina Dunlop (UCL), presented a poster on “Mechanistic Modelling of Pre-clinical Drug Trials of Tumour Cells“.
