Martin Wolf and Chetta Saelim were in Edinburgh last week (8-12 December) to attend and speak at the ICMS Conference on “Geometry, higher structures, and physics” (Conference website here). Martin gave a talk on “Homotopy Algebras and Field Theories” in the Tuesday morning session, and Chetta gave a talk on “Extremal Black Holes from Homotopy Algebras” in the gong show session on Tuesday afternoon. Chetta is a PhD student of Martin and Jan Gutowski. The photo below shows the principal organiser (Christian Saemann, Heriot-Watt) giving the opening remarks at the conference.
