Vassilios Rothos, Associate Professor of Dynamical Systems at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is visiting the Department this week as part of a London Mathematical Society Scheme 2 grant. He has been in the UK for two weeks, visiting and speaking at the University of Essex and the University of Edinburgh as well. On Friday, he is giving a seminar in the FMS series on “Stability of gap solitons in the presence of weak non-locality and periodic potentials“. Tom Bridges is hosting his visit.
