Rebecca Atkinson passes PhD viva

Congratulations to Rebecca Atkinson for passing her PhD viva today (Wednesday 8 December)! Rebecca’s thesis is entitled “Localisation and Optimal Mitigation of Sampling Error in Ensemble Data Assimilation“. The External Examiner was Ross Bannister (University of Reading) and the Internal was Naratip Santitissadeekorn. Rebecca‘s project was funded by the SCENARIO Reading/Surrey DTP, and her supervisory team consisted of Jonathan Flowerdew (UK Met Office), Sue Hughes (Civil Engineering, Surrey) and Ian Roulstone.
