David Lloyd was in Baltimore, Maryland, last week (24-27 June) for the 2024 SIAM Nonlinear Waves and Coherent Structures Conference (link here). At the conference Dave was awarded the T.B. Benjamin Prize. The photo below shows the prize ceremony with Prof Gino Biondini (Chair of the NWCS Activity Group) presenting the prize. In addition Dave was invited to give a talk in Minisymposium 47 on “Hexagon invastion fronts outside the homoclinic snaking region“.
