The SIAM Activity Group on Nonlinear Waves and Coherent Structures (link here) invited David Lloyd to give a talk in their virtual seminar series (link here), which is broadcast internationally. The seminar took place on Tuesday 8 October at 12 noon EST (5pm in the UK). The title was “Localized Multi-Dimensional Patterns“. In it, Dave gave an overview of the mathematical progress made to understand multidimensional localised patterns in 1D, 2D and 3D and outline several exciting new directions in this field.
